The first-look trailer for Retromedia Entertainment Partners' new supernatural horror thriller Jack-O 2 (2026) has arrived. The film stars cult icon Sybil Danning, Richard Gabai, Martin Nicholas, Annah Arias, and Xhyvette "Sushii" Holder. No release date has been announced.
Written and directed by Emmy Award winner Fred Olen Ray, the film is executive produced by Sybil Danning and William Grefe (Stanley, The Jaws of Death). Producers include Fred Olen Ray, Sean Donohue, and Steve Latshaw. Thomas L. Callaway (Deep Blue Sea 2, Critters 3, Critters 4, and Feast) served as cinematographer.
“Jack-O 2 pushes our characters—and our audience—to the edge while honoring the outrageous spirit of the original,” says Ray. “It's a return to practical, in-your-face horror filmmaking.”
Why Jack-O 2 now? Ray explains: “For the last decade, I have focused on dozens of made-for-TV movies, including Christmas films and Lifetime thrillers. It's been great and has opened an entirely new chapter in my long career, but my drive-in movie roots have been calling me back. I want to return to the kind of wild, 1970s-style drive-in horror movies that fans love but that major studios rarely finance anymore—and I want to do it in Florida.”
JACK-O HAS RISEN FROM THE GRAVE... AGAIN! He's Back!:

Welcome to the very first feature-length motion picture to be produced by my new company, Fred Olen Ray Productions LLC. I've never crowdfunded a feature film before and I may never do it again, so here's our chance to do something meaningful together as a team! A chance to produce a first-rate movie with an incredible array of talent.
The movie JACK-O 2: BLOOD MOON RISING will highlight a monstrous creature, dark swamps and fair maidens in peril. All the things I’ve spent a lifetime perfecting in cult genre classics like HOLLYWOOD CHAINSAW HOOKERS, EVIL TOONS, BIOHAZARD, DEEP SPACE, SUPER SHARK and DIRE WOLF.
Now it’s time for us to work together.
THE LOW-DOWN
For the last decade I have focused on dozens of Made for TV network movies… Christmas films and Lifetime Women’s thrillers and it’s been great, opening an entirely new page in my long career… but my early Drive-in movie roots are begging me to take another walk on the wild side, a walk back to my beginnings and I want to do it in Florida with you.
I'm going to produce a 1970s styled Drive-in movie… the kind fans want but no big company wants to finance anymore. That’s where I hope you come in!
Your crowdfunding dollars will go towards actors, crew, travel, equipment rentals, insurance, locations, food, wardrobe and, not least, creature effects. I have always pressed for the highest quality in every step of production and I'm not taking my foot off the gas now.
I have directed over 160 successful movies and television shows with legendary stars like Chevy Chase, Steven Seagal, Telly Savalas, Martin Landau, Luke Perry, Peter Fonda, Christian Slater, Shelley Long, George Hamilton, David Carradine and even the iconic Lee Van Cleef.
I received three Emmy nominations and won more awards than I can display, including a 2021 Emmy for outstanding Digital Daytime Drama. My films have been distributed by 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros., Paramount and Lion’s Gate.
INSPIRATION
My passion springs from the heyday of the 1970s Drive-in Movie Theater where I thrilled to great home-grown exploitation movies like SLITHIS, DEATH CURSE OF TARTU and GATOR BAIT. My spirit haunted the Drive-in and when I began my career, it was in movies like SHOCK WAVES and my swamp epic THE ALIEN DEAD starring serial legend Buster Crabbe. I have long awaited a return to the genre I love so much and now JACK-O 2 is my chance.
WHAT I NEED
I’m looking to crowdfund $50,000. This amount will help offset my personal cash investment for the bulk of the financing and allow me to import a name star. After all, what’s a Drive-in movie without a Drive-in Movie Star?
RISKS & CHALLENGES
JACK-O 2 will never languish in the purgatory of uncompleted half-realized projects. Funds raised during the campaign will be incorporated into my personal resources, guaranteeing the film's completion in a timely fashion. Actors participation is subject to availability. I have over 50 years of experience in the world of professional film production and high-end distribution. In short... I might just know what I'm doing.

I love watching these mixtapes every year the best parts for me are the great commercials, the gory kill scenes were insane, love that Alice Cooper song and video, Halloween franchise kill count and song was good and my favorite was the last video Wes Casey's horror movie montage, really great! Awesome!
Jack-O is a 1995 American horror film directed and co-produced by Steve Latshaw and executive produced by Fred Olen Ray. It is the third collaboration between Latshaw as director and Ray as executive producer. It stars Linnea Quigley, Maddisen K. Krown, Gary Doles, Ryan Latshaw, and Catherine Walsh, with cameo appearances by John Carradine, Cameron Mitchell (both posthumous appearances), and Brinke Stevens. The film was released direct-to-video and received largely negative reviews.
SYNOPSIS: On Halloween, three friends accidentally unleash a pumpkinhead scarecrow from hell, named Jack-O, who was buried many years ago by the farmer Arthur Kelly. Now a young Sean Kelly must somehow stop the evil creature who seeks the descendants of the Kelly family for revenge.
I love watching VHS recordings of TV broadcast movies with commercials, I'm also Portuguese, and this is one of my favorite Halloween horror movies so I find this video hilarious.
The first video below contains the opening of Cine Trash and intro by Coffin Joe, just to see how the show started, below that it's followed by the TVrip broadcast video (both spoken in Brazilian Portuguese, sorry no English subtitles). I'm not sure if this intro was part of the broadcast, there is no opening credits or intro in the broadcast video. They were uploaded by YouTube channel @BandCineTrash where you can watch more Cine Trash intros and promos featuring Coffin Joe.
That's a Cine Trash Coffin Joe newspaper ad and Brazilian Jack-O (1995) VHS cover at the top of the post and more newspaper ads and Portuguese DVD cover at the bottom.

IMDb.com SYNOPSIS: A long long time ago a wizard was put to death, but he swore vengeance on the townsfolk that did him in, particularly Arthur Kelly's family. Arthur had done the final graces on him when he came back to life as Mr. Jack the Pumpkin Man. The Kellys proliferated through the years, and when some devil-may-care teens accidentally unleash Jack-O, young Sean Kelly must stop him somehow as his suburban world is accosted and the attrition rate climbs.
Steve Latshaw produced/directed the 1995 film Jack-O, about a pumpkinheaded demon. This cheesy horror flick is a combination of a terrible story with awful acting but there were some cool death scenes. Jack-O is the type of movie to see with a group of friends, drink beer, make comments and laugh a lot. It features Scream Queen and Queen of B Movies Linnea Quigley, Rebecca Wicks, and Ryan Latshaw.
VHS SYNOPSIS: Mr. Jack will snap your spine, cut you in half with a scaly vine The legend of Jack-O is all but forgotten to the townspeople of Oakmoor Crossing, except in the nursery rhymes of children. Almost one hundred years before, warlock Walter Machen was hung for murder. But before he died, he raised up the fury of a demon creature to take revenge on the unwitting townspeople. Many died before it was destroyed and buried forever. Until now. When a trio of grave-robbers stumble across Jack-O's unmarked grave, they unleash the vengeful monster to continue its bloodthirsty quest.
Jack-O is a 1995 straight-to-video horror movie directed by Steve Latshaw, produced by Fred Olen Ray, written by Brad Linaweaver, Lee Shapiro and Patrick Moran, who played Jack-O. The film features several recognizable actors of popular low-budget films, Linnea Quigley and Rebecca Wicks play dominant roles, and John Carradine makes a poorly-spliced cameo because he died years before the film's production began. The rest of the cast includes Katy Maznicki, Maddisen K. Krown, Gary Doles, Ryan Latshaw, Catherine Walsh, Rachel Carter, Tom Ferda, Bill Cross, Helen Keeling and Thor Schweigerath. The film received largely negative reviews and carries a 2.4 rating on IMDb.
VHS/DVD/BLU-RAY RELEASE: Released to straight to VHS in 1995 by Triboro Entertainment Group, later released in 2005 as a 10th Anniversary special edition DVD, with audio commentary by Steve Latshaw and Fred Olen Ray, a behind the scenes video, the original "theatrical" trailer, and a trailer and featurette from a failed project by Steve Latshaw known as "Gator Babes." Retromedia released the film on Blu-ray on Jun 13, 2022. New features include 4K transfer from original 16mm camera negatives, 15 minute restoration commentary track with Fred Olen Ray, Jack-O memories video, and "The Coven" original footage, along with the original DVD special features that were ported over. The Blu-ray was also released with a limited to 1000 slipcover signed by Linnea Quigley exclusively from Makeflix.com which quickly sold out.
